How might I use Apple TV in my classroom?
With Apple TV, you can wirelessly stream the content on an iPad to your Smartboard. Use it to lead a class brainstorm, or walk everyone through a presentation. Your students can connect with Apple TV just as easily, giving them the ability to share projects and other work on the big screen. You can "mirror" anything that appears on your ipad onto your Smartboard screen.
Just a few examples:
-Introduce and demonstrate how to use an app to the whole class at one time.
-Have students share out with the class the work they have done on their ipad
-Share text/a photo/ an app from your ipad with the class
- If you have the book on your ipad (ibooks, Kindle, nook, OverDrive, etc.), display your read-aloud to the Smartboard screen while you are reading and students can follow along or find evidence directly in the text to support their thinking
-Have students share the different ways they solved a math problem with the class
-Have students share work they have done with the class in a google doc
-Move around the room while teaching, allowing you to change screen content from anywhere in the room
